Carmelo Anthony interested in the Mavs, Bulls, and Rockets if he opts out

New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony has a June 23rd deadline to opt in or out of the final season of his contract.

Phil Jackson wants Anthony to opt in the player option (1 year, $23.3 million) for next season, to pair an All-Star with him through the 2015 free agency.

According to Marc Stein (ESPN), the 7x All-Star forward will consider the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks if he opts out of his contract.

Should the Mavs go all in on Carmelo Anthony, or pursue Deng, Ariza, and Parsons?

Going after Carmelo Anthony is a big risk, when there are a lot more quality small forwards on the market.

If the Dallas Mavericks go all in on Anthony and don’t end up getting him, it would be a complete dissapoint.

Clear example, last offseason when we spent a lot of time chasing Dwight Howard while al Jefferson was on the market. We saw what type of year he had (All-NBA 3rd team).

What would you do?
