Jae Crowder (78 games) averaged 4.6 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 0.8 APG in 16 minutes per game. Most importantly he improved his field goal % from .384 to .439 in his second year. Crowder also provided tenacious defense and grit to the Mavs this season.
His first year was about adjusting from being a former Big East player of the year to a NBA rookie. His second season was about gaining confidence and defining his role on the team. Next year, Jae Crowder looks to take his game to the next level.
“It’s just a mindset. I just stayed in the gym and worked on my shot,” Jae Crowder stated during the season. ”I knew I wasn’t a 32-percent three-point shooter. In the offseason, I spent a lot of time in the gym and really worked on my shot. I have a lot of confidence.”
Can Jae Crowder take his game to the next level for the Dallas Mavericks?
Rick Carlisle thinks so.
“You know, I think Crowder is going to keep getting better and you’ve got to have a system where younger guys are getting better.” Carlisle stated.
Jae Crowder has improved every season since he stepped in Dallas. His third season will a big factor in Crowder being a long-term stay in the Dallas Mavericks organization.
Glad to have you back another year Jae!
