The Dallas Mavericks begin their 2020-2021 season with a preseason matchup versus Milwaukee Bucks tonight at 7 p.m.

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a season in which they posted a 43-32 record, finishing 7th in the western conference that resulted in an early first-round exit by the Los Angeles Clippers. The Mavericks made some draft noise in the NBA draft by selecting Josh Green with the 18th overall pick out of Arizona University, where he posted 12 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists over 30.9 minutes per game. Some other notable draftees include Tyrell Terry (selected 31st overall) and Tyler Bey (selected 36th overall in a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers).

The Mavericks have added some new faces to the team including Josh Richardson, coming off of 13.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game with the 76ers last season. Dallas is looking to continue their momentum from last season as Luka Doncic is posed to have a tremendous season coming off 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists last season, just shy of being the third player in NBA history to average a triple-double throughout a whole season. Kristaps Porzingis’ 2020-2021 debut will have to wait a little bit longer as he rehabs from knee surgery.

The Mavericks will start their season with no fans in attendance but remain optimistic of allowing fans in the near future. There are a lot of reasons to be excited for the upcoming season and most of them fall on Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

While there has been much confusion on how and where MFFLs can watch their beloved Mavericks this season, we can all exhale a sigh of relief as tonight’s game will livestream on http://www.mavs.com.
