Dallas Mavericks Join Minnie’s Food Pantry to Host Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway

The Dallas Mavericks and Mavs Gaming teamed up with local nonprofit Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano to serve 4,000 families today as they host their annual turkey giveaway. Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall and Mavs Gaming Head Coach LT Fairley along with staff joined hundreds of volunteers as they distributed complete Thanksgiving meals to North Texas families in need. The donation also included Mavs t-shirts, face masks and hand sanitizers, as well as additional Mavs and Mavs gaming promo items and NBA 2K22 posters.

I asked Cynt on the importance of this event within the community and why it is special to her. She responded, “We have been given a lot. The community puts their trust in us, they help us all the time. They buy our merchandise, show up to our games. They root for the Mavs, so this is just one of many things that we get to do, to give back to the community… show that we really care.”

The number of families participating in this event increased by 1,300 compared to last year.
