No Ordinary Rookie

Luka Doncic is by far the odds on favorite to win 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year. He is such a big favorite and NBA fans have discussed it all season to the point where I am not going to focus on whether or not Luka will be the ROY. As far as I am concerned it is a lock and I am not going to waste any more time on it.  No offense to some of the great Rookies this year, I think this will go down as a great NBA draft class, but Luka was far and away the best Rookie this season.

Rookie Ranks: December Update

Last year’s tank-fest in the NBA is already paying dividends for several NBA teams as this has been one of the deepest and most productive rookie classes in a long time.  Several years down the road we may look back at this draft the same way we do the 2003 draft that gave us several players that changed the competitive landscape in the NBA for year in LeBron, Melo, Bosh, and D-Wade.  It should be a competitive race for Rookie of the Year, but there are already a few candidates that stand out above the rest.

Rookie Ranks: Luka Soars Above the Rest

Luka Doncic was picked by many (including myself) to be the 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year.  His fellow rookies, however, did not have so much faith in the young Slovenian to make a big impact in his first year as they had him Tied for 3rd alongside Kevin Knox and behind #1 overall pick Deandre Ayton and Cleveland point guard Collin Sexton in the preseason Rookie Survey.
