Rick Carlisle staying is great news for the Mavericks

ESPN’s Marc Stein was the first to report that the Dallas Mavericks and Rick Carlisle were nearing a 5-year contract extension that would keep Carlisle in Dallas for the next 6 years. Many of the so-called ‘experts’ were predicting a Carlisle exit after this upcoming season once his contract expired but now looks like the beloved coach is here to stay!

Patience is a virtue, depth and health concerns surround Dallas

Following the DeAndre Jordan free-agency saga, Dallas has made an effort to salvage their season and debunk any ‘Tank’ rumors by sending a second round pick to Milwaukee in exchange for Gregorian Center, Zaza Pachulia. Veteran Point Guard, Deron Williams was recently inked to a 2 year deal, with a player option, worth a total of upwards of $11 million.

Mavs Summer League season comes to a close, Anderson the real deal

Las Vegas, Nevada (07-18-15) – Quarter Finals: Atlanta Hawks – 91, Dallas Mavericks – 83

Saturday evenings final score marked the end to Dallas’ summer league season after their eight point loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Dallas would end up finishing 2-4 in summer league play.
