The most highly touted prospect in this upcoming is Arizona C DeAndre Ayton. Ayton has received comparisons from David Robinson to Karl Anthony-Towns. Ayton is a monster in the paint and led Arizona to a Pac-12 Title this season. Arizona was surprisingly upset in the 1st round by Buffalo, but that should not do anything to Ayton’s stock.
One of the most intriguing prospects in this years draft is without question, Luka Doncic. Doncic is the most polished European prospect many scouts claim they have ever seen. He absolutely has the potential to become a franchise player in this league, but with all players (especially players who didn’t play in college) there is a good amount of risk.
The Mavericks have had an extremely rough start to the year as they sit at 19-42 through 61 games. Not all hope is lost as players such as Dennis Smith Jr. and Harrison Barnes have put up decent numbers, but it is obvious that the Mavs will not be competing for a championship anytime soon.
This NBA offseason saw 3 all-stars from the Eastern Conference join the Western Conference. Paul George will pair with Westbrook in OKC, Jimmy Butler joins the young T-Wolves and Paul Millsap heads to Denver.

To put it simply the Dallas Mavericks are not worthy of having a superstar, a franchise player, a LEGEND like the great Dirk Nowitzki from Wurzburg, Germany.
This year with the #9 pick in the 2017 draft the Mavericks decided to go with Dennis Smith Jr., an athletic PG from North Carolina State. This is the highest pick that the Mavericks have ended up with since they drafted Dirk Nowitzki in the 1998 draft in a pick they got through a draft night trade.
The Dallas Mavericks will kick off the 2017 Mountain Dew Orlando Pro Summer League against the New York Knicks, Saturday, July 1st. The game will air on NBA-TV at 2 p.m. CST.
The Mavericks have the highest pick that they have had in years with this year’s #9 pick. The last time the Mavericks had the #9 pick was in 1998 and they ended up with a German big man named Nowitzki and that ended up pretty well.
Harrison Barnes finally emerged as the player he was always thought to become since he entered the NBA 5 years ago.
It was a night to remember, whether you were at the American Airlines center, at home on your couch or out at a bar with your buddies, March 7,2017 has 30,000 reasons to never be forgotten.
This has been a tough season for MFFL’s everywhere in a year where Dirk has missed 26 games, the team got off to their worst start since Dirk’s rookie year and at one point this season the Mavs held the worst record in the entire NBA.
Yogi Ferrell, standing just 6 feet tall has been a revelation for the Mavs this past week. Signed on a 10 day contract one day, starting point guard against the Spurs & Cavs the next.
He stepped off the plane in Dallas on Saturday, hours before he was about to play a game…for another team.
