Dallas Mavericks forward/guard Cooper Flagg continues to make franchise and league history after being unanimously selected to the 2025-26 Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Flagg received first-place votes on all 100 ballots from a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, further cementing one of the most impressive rookie campaigns in recent NBA history.

At just 19 years and 112 days old, Flagg becomes the second youngest player ever to earn All-Rookie First Team honors, trailing only LeBron James by six days. The reigning Kia NBA Rookie of the Year also joins elite company within Mavericks history, becoming just the seventh player in franchise history to earn All-Rookie First Team recognition.

Flagg joins Jay Vincent, Sam Perkins, Roy Tarpley, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd and Luka Dončić as Mavericks players to receive the honor. He also joins Vincent, Kidd and Dončić as the only unanimous All-Rookie First Team selections in franchise history.

The 19-year-old phenom became the first Maverick ever selected to an All-Rookie Team before turning 20 years old and is now one of only 13 teenagers in NBA history to earn All-Rookie First Team honors.

Flagg’s production throughout the season backed up the historic recognition. In 70 starts, he averaged a rookie-leading 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks while playing 33.5 minutes per game. He led Dallas in total points, rebounds, assists and steals, this feat has only been accomplished by only one other rookie in NBA history: Michael Jordan.

For a Mavericks franchise entering a new era, Flagg’s rookie season may be remembered as the beginning of a special career.
